The good: both my boys graduated this week. This is my Middle School graduate:

When I caught up to him after graduation I gave him a real Debbie style hug!

My mother came up from Alabama to share in the celebrations and I was so glad to have her here. I hadn't seen her since August and missed her terribly. We had a party on Saturday for the graduates and that is when I got to introduce the man I have been dating for the past three months to my children, my mother, my friends, my asshole ex and his asshole brother. Yep, that could have been very stressful, but but even though the ex was being very rude, my friend John did not take the bait. And I think he might even have charmed my mother! So the party was a great success.

Now the not so good news: it has been a lousy couple of weeks to be a woman. Not only did this period come 10 days after my last but my flow has been so horrible that my blood count came back with negative numbers! Well, almost. So my gyno put me on birth control pills to help regulate things. I was taking several pills a day and not only did they not stop my bleeding, it turns out I am allergic to them as well. So I have a lovely rash over all my body except for my face. I am now on an anti-estrogen which has slowed things down a bit but not a lot. i see my gyno next week and we may talk hysterectomy; not something I wanted until a couple of weeks ago.
